Sounding Grace is a musical instrument and accessory wholesaler, and a music related print publishing company.

Located in South Melbourne, we supply leading brands to many locations around Australia, and currently publish Dingo Australian Jazz Journal, a nationwide bi-annual magazine.

Our wholesale arm specialises in high quality brass and woodwind instruments and accessories from leading brands including but not limited to:

Our Team

Cal Barry
Director

Cal Barry is a Melbourne based woodwind multi instrumentalist who is a passionate supporter of music education and the Australian Jazz music community. Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Improvisation) he has been performing locally and internationally in a wide range of settings.

He has an extensive background in music retail and is a highly skilled brass and woodwind repair technician, having worked professionally repairing instruments for the last decade.

Through his work, Cal has supported the wider arts community through the commissioning of new works, free workshops and professional development opportunities, scholarships for students and the hugely successful Australian Saxophone competition.

Scott Langdon
General Manager

Scott Langdon is a Melbourne based brass and percussion player who is a passionate supporter of music education, and the brass band community. Since graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Strategic Management, Marketing) he has been working in the music industry ever since.

With an extensive background in music retail and distribution from New Zealand, he has worked with some of the largest international brands in exclusive distribution arrangements.

He has been part of the Sounding Grace team since 2020 and is enjoying all that the Australian music industry has to offer.
